Shuttle service planned

Monday, March 8, 1999 | 10:47 a.m.

A new transportation service that will shuttle passengers to the airport and other locations from Henderson in three seven-passenger vans will begin later this month.

Henderson Corridor Connection Inc. will offer door-to-door service beginning in mid-March to the airport under a tariff approved by the Transportation Services Authority of Nevada. Rates are based on distance and an airport run, either direction, will range from $12 to $16 one way.

Reservations are required prior to the day of service, a stipulation that separates the Henderson Corridor Connection fleet from taxi companies. All transportation with the service must either start or end in Henderson.

Ron Jackson, president of the new service, said the company accepts most major credit cards. The company is developing fax and online reservations. All reservations are confirmed by phone the day before the scheduled pickup.
