Robert Bugajski, 17, was driving his 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck when the driver of another truck ran a stop sign in May 1997.
Both trucks erupted in flames. Thomas and Jeanette Douglas, both 68, died at the scene.
Bugajski suffered severe burns and died eight days later.
In their suit against GM, the family claimed sidesaddle fuel tanks on the Dayton couple's truck were faulty and susceptible to fire.
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
