Letter: Vet gets great care all around

My husband is a retired veteran of World Wars I and II. The day he went for his appointment at the old Vet Clinic on Charleston, the doctor said he'd better wait while she sent him to be X-rayed; she was suspicious of his condition.

He was sent from there to the UMC Emergency Trauma section. I spoke to them both on the phone. I went to the emergency room only to see him have a stroke and heart attack and was immediately sent to the ICU Unit.

He was given wonderful care and recovered in UMC at the rehab center on Rancho Drive. She really saved his life, no side-effects.

At the new clinic he went to the emergency room and a young doctor sent him to the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital, to ICU pulmonary and heart trouble.

The care there was 100 percent fine, with a doctor and nurses who give you 100 percent attention.

It is the greatest hospital in Las Vegas. We are proud it bears O'Callaghan's name.
