1ST RACE:
-- Boss Ego - Split field when 6th with road trouble in last, 4-wide and just missed while 2nd by a nose before that, makes main track debut in fifth career outing here, significant jockey change to McCarron on Ellis trainee for this. Sand Colony - Late interest from inside post when 5th in last, 5th on the grass before that, 6-wide 3rd at 7-panels three races back, has good speed figures, Dutton trainee reunites with Solis now. Value Play -- Pettroff
2ND RACE:
Queensland Star - No rally when overmatched in Grade III turf stakes in last, 4th grass sprinting while claimed before that, photo-finish win at this trip on Anita lawn three races back, Desormeaux takes over on Marshall trainee. Wandering - Outfinished while claimed when runner-up in last, tries turf for second time after wide trip on lawn before that, won 2 of 3 prior outings, new trainer Carava makes significant jockey change to Solis here. Value Play -- Golden Roamer
3RD RACE:
Moore's Flat - Distant non-threatening 4th in Grade II Californian stakes to Old Trieste in last, late for distant runner-up in Grade II Mervyn LeRoy 'Cap before that, claimed off a win at Golden Gate three races back, returns to competitive level. Cannon - Chased and distant 3rd on turf in last, won on the main before that, both career wins came on Hollypark dirt track, draws good post, versatility is a plus at this trip, winning rider Blanc stays. Value Play -- Racket Club
4TH RACE:
Go Go Edric - Stalked and second best in last, 2 of 3 lifetime victories at this distance, stays at competitive level, draws good post, should stalk pace-setters here, Vergara stays with him, we will too. Prototype - 3-wide rally while close 3rd off 7-week layoff in last, won early-April before that, in the quinella half of 8 starts at this distance with a pair of wins and 4 of 7 at Hollypark with a victory, should improve off tightener in last. Value Play -- Peter's Pond
5TH RACE:
Lacquaria - Pressed fast pace and crumbled in comeback effort in Grade II stakes in last, runner-up to Excellent Meeting in Grade I Hollywood Starlet last winter before that, won prior pair of career outings, give one more chance here. Sweet Natalie - Returns to races with steady works, both career victories from two Hollypark starts, in the money in all three starts at this distance with a win, McCarron reunites on Ellis trainee here, runs well fresh. Value Play -- Excessive Theresa
6TH RACE:
Queenie Z - Rallied from inside post for close runner-up in last, stumbled at the start from inside post and rallied for 2nd before that---both at shorter distances, 1-for-1 at this distance, in the quinella in most recent five outings with a pair of wins, Sorenson fits her well. Saucy Mo - No match for winner while holding runner-up when claimed at this price in last, in the quinella 5 of 7 starts this year with a win and half of 20 starts on fast dirt tracks with 5 victories, Puglisi takes over for new connections on beaten favorite. Value Play -- Another Approval
7TH RACE:
Futural - 3-wide 3rd in California Derby at Golden Gate in last, runner-up at Hollypark before that, 1-for-1 on turf, in the quinella 4 of 6 lifetime starts with a pair of victories, reunites with winning turf rider Solis on Dollace trainee, well placed. Company Approval - Wide late bid 4th on soft going in Lone Star turf stakes in last, 4th in Grade III Hollypark turf stakes before that, in the quinella 3 of 4 starts on this course with both career victories at this distance, Eddie D. back. Value Play -- Digatreasure
8TH RACE:
Bankroll Babe - Showed brief speed while 3-wide and gave way in debut at straight maiden level in last, second best work from 29 moves on the 25th since raced, drops to claimer now and switches to hustling Espinoza for Bankroll of Babe graduation. Betsy Hoss - Tracked, loomed up and weakened to 4th in comeback outing from 10 month layoff in last, 4th in prior pair of lifetime starts, most recent third best work of the day on the 8th since raced, any improvement can lead to Betsy diploma here. Value Play -- Landau
