Las Vegas resident competes in wheelchair event

Kenny Rogers, a disabled Navy veteran from Las Vegas, competed in the 19th National Veterans Wheelchair Games this month in Puerto Rico. Rogers, 73, a combat veteran of World War II, is a paraplegic. He was a contestant in the discus and javelin throws, air guns and the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle in swimming.
