Tickets.com, a California-based ticket seller, was awarded exclusive rights to provide ticketing services for the Las Vegas sports and entertainment venues the Thomas & Mack Center and Sam Boyd Stadium. The firm replaces Ticketmaster.
Tickets.com already licenses its ticketing software at hotel-casinos and attractions including Caesars Palace, Flamingo Hilton, Mirage, New York-New York and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The company also will open a Las Vegas office and be the exclusive ticketing services provider for Cox Pavilion when it opens early next year.
Pat Christenson, director of Thomas & Mack Center, Sam Boyd Stadium and Cox Pavilion, praised Tickets.com for its superior technology.
Christenson declined to reveal terms of the deal with Tickets.com, but said it would substantially increase revenue for the three venues because of its marketing programs on the Las Vegas Strip and at other attractions.
Tickets.com sells tickets through retail outlets, call centers, interactive voice response systems and the Internet.
