Vincent Alcala

Vincent Alcala, 55, of Henderson died June 10 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 9, 1943, in California. A resident for many years, he was an automotive mechanic and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his father, Vincent Michael Alcala, his mother, Lucille Sauredao, and four sons, Manuel Contreras, Quentin Alcala, David Alcala and Larry Alcala, all of California; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday with noon services at Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Betty S. Allan

Betty S. Allan, 80, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for many years, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by one son, Ira Allan of Henderson.

No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Maria Guada Lupe Alfaro Barron

Maria Guada Lupe Alfaro Barron, 46, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 31, 1952, in El Savador. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Rick Barron; and four brothers, Alberto Guillermo, Ramon Guillermo, Ernesto Guillermo and Jose Guillermo.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until a 2 p.m. service Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Frend Befree

Frend Befree, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Romania, Austria. A resident for 50 years, he was a house painter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Atty; and two cousins, Jack J. Spitzer and Charlotte Spitzer.

Wilma L. Boling

Wilma L. Boling, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Denver. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired food stand operator for carnivals and fairs and a Head Start program volunteer.

She is survived by her husband, William.

Randy J. Burleson

Randy J. Burleson, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Gastonia, N.C. A resident for 23 years, he was a slot technician industry and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene K.; two sons, Randy J. Burleson II of Annapolis, Md., and Christopher L. Burleson of Las Vegas; one brother, Jerry G. Burleson of Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

The family suggests donations to the Vietnam Veterans Association, 3579 Alleghany Drive, Las Vegas.

James G. Burns Sr.

James G. Burns Sr., 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1915, in Philadelphia. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired police sergeant and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Micali, and one son, James Burns Jr., both of Las Vegas; one sister, Lillian Sidman of Philadelphia; one brother, William Burns of New Jersey; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Joseph P. Coulson

Joseph P. Coulson, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Reno. He was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 13 years, he was a real estate broker and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Linda Cahoon of Las Vegas and Penny Bonner of Laughlin; one stepson, J.D. Lytle of Los Angeles; three sons, Cao Ho and Tim Ho, both of Garden Grove, Calif., and Joe Coulson Jr. of Las Vegas; two sisters, Priscilla Wilcox of Montrose, Pa., and Muriel Schaffer of Ernest, Pa.; one brother, Roy Coulson of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled 10 a.m. today at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ronald James Felts

Ronald James Felts, 41, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 24, 1957, in San Diego. A resident for 14 years, he was a drywall finisher and a member of Painters Union Local 159.

He is survived by his fiancee, Jane Unger of Las Vegas; two daughters, Danielle Felts of Las Vegas and Angela Lester of Omaha, Neb.; his mother, Mickie Felts of Tucson, Ariz.; five sisters including Debbie Welchko of Tucson; five brothers; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Willie Forbes Jr.

Willie Forbes Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Lake Providence, La. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired maintenance worker.

He is survived by his wife, Louiza; one daughter, Sophia Perry; one stepson, Thomas Minnieweather; one stepdaughter, Louise Minnieweather; his father, Willie Forbes Sr.; six brothers, Lee Gain, Sherman, Archie Forbes, Rosevelt Fobbs, Doray Fobbs and Gerald Fobbs; six sisters, Earnestine Forbes, Glades Forbes, Betty Forbes, Dorothy Forbes, Dora Forbes and Vera Forbes; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

William Henry Hall Jr.

William Henry Hall Jr., 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 11, 1951, in Nevada. A lifelong resident he was self-employed.

He is survived by his wife, Doroi; one daughter, Dori Hall, one son, Marcus Hall, his father, William H. Hall Sr.; one brother, Charles E. Payton Sr. of Carson, Calif., four sisters, Peggy Culverson, Louise, Patricia and Theresa Hall, and four uncles, Joe Lois, Richard, Houston and David Hall, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.

Karrie Anne Herman

Karrie Anne Herman, 28, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 14, 1970, in Killeen, Texas. A resident for 22 years, she was a secretary for a flooring company.

She is survived by two daughters, Melissa and Kaitlynn, two sons, Steven and Matthew, her ex-husband, Derek Herman, her parents, Linda and Steven Kaldi, and one sister, Christina Frei, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Merton and Helena Billington of Worcester, Mass.

Visitation will be one hour prior to 9 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Julius Arthur Kanton

Julius Arthur Kanton, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born March 10, 1926, in Detroit. A resident for 29 years, he was a postal clerk, an Air Force veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars North Las Vegas Post.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; one daughter, Laurie Candalino of Las Vegas; and one sister, Betty Lou Folley of Orlando, Fla.

Michael John Kuchman

Michael John Kuchman, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Yonkers, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and World War II and Korean War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; three sons, Myron Kuchman and Michael Kuchman, both of Las Vegas, and Thomas Kuchman of Provo, Utah; three daughters, Marilyn Thompson and Catherine Bonnell, both of Las Vegas, and Carolyn Walker of Saugus, Calif.; one sister, Pauline DiGiovanni of the Bronx, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Geraldine Marston

Geraldine Marston, 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec 26, 1940, in Michigan. A resident six months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Vern.

Agnes Messier

Agnes Messier, 89, of Las Vegas died June 7 in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1909, in Oxford, Maine. A resident for 20 years, she was a textile mill machine operator.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Szabados of Las Vegas; one son, Ronald Messier, and one brother, Arthur S. Germain, both of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Henry J. Neidhardt

Henry J. Neidhardt, 94, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 7, 1904, in Randes, Denmark. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired restaurateur, who came to America when he was 19 and became a U.S. citizen.

He is survived by his wife, Selma; one daughter, Brenda Acton of Henderson; three sons, George Neidhardt of Gardnerville, Paul Neidhardt of Carlsbad, Calif., and John Neidhardt of Yakima, Wash.; one sister, Inger Smock of Laguna Hills, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Steven Paul Ronco

Steven Paul Ronco, 48, of Las Vegas died June 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1950, in Los Angeles. A resident for five years, he was a respiratory therapist at UMC.

He is survived by his parents, Tina and John.

Samuel A. Salvin

Samuel A. Salvin, 94, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 19, 1905, in Middletown, Conn. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired owner-operator of retail stores, a member of the Masonic Mystic Lodge in Pittsfield, Mass., and the Scottish Rite and Westwood Shriners, both in Los Angeles.

He is survived by one son, Martin Salvin of Beverly Hills, Calif.; one daughter, Renee Cohen of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Frank J. Verdugo

Frank J. Verdugo, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 26, 1949, in Colorado. A resident for 12 years, he was a carpenter, a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Vietnam, a member of Carpenters Local 1790 and Culinary Local 226.

He is survived by his wife, Louisa; one son, Rubin J. Verdugo; two daughters, Michele Verdugo and Frankie Verdugo; his mother, Evelyn Jiminez; six brothers, Ben Verdugo, John Verdugo, Dennis Verdugo, Joe Arguello, Carmel Jiminez and Felix Jiminez; four sisters, Frances Verdugo, Geneieve Verdugo, Cindy Verdugo and Alice Jiminez.

John Robert Vultech, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Chicago. A new resident, he was a retired factory supervisor and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Tillie L.; three daughters, Sharon Lindstrom of Georgetown, Mass., and Shirley Potokar and Lola Janczak, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Lawrence Vujtech and Thomas Vujtech; two sisters, Dorothy Smola and Laura Jane Viznor; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Irene V. Weiss

Irene V. Weiss, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 14, 1925, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; three sons, Michael C. Weiss of Wixom, Mich., Daniel J. Weiss of Las Vegas and Timothy A. Weiss of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; three sisters, Ruby Neissen of Lomita, Calif., Helen Mehring of Laguna Hills, Calif., and Florence Chewning of Swansboro, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Craig Allen Wilson, 34, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 19, 1965, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a city government supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann; his mother and stepfather, Donna and Larry Wrangham of Duck Creek Village, Utah; his father and stepmother, Leon and Nola Wilson of Kanab, Utah; one sister, Rayshell Berry, and two stepsisters, Monica Wilson and Toni Wilson; and his grandparents, Catherine and Leo Rattan of Bowie, Texas.
