High school seniors can get tutoring, take exit exam again
Tuesday, June 22, 1999 | 11:36 a.m.
High school seniors who failed the state's exit exam now can enroll in several free tutoring sessions and sign up to take the test again.
About 800 Clark County seniors left high school this spring without passing the Nevada Proficiency Examination, even though some of them had enough credits to graduate.
The Clark County School District is offering two summer school sessions that will prepare students to take the math section of the test. The sessions will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays from June 21 to July 1. The second session will be held at the same times from July 12 to July 29. The test will be given again on July 2 and July 30.
Interested students must attend the first day of the sessions at the tutoring sites: Basic, Cimarron-Memorial, Durango, Eldorado and Rancho high schools.
