Dehne clipped for $5,000 in complaints on mayor

Sam Dehne, who ran in last year's mayoral primary and is going now for the U.S. Senate, said the panel is fining the victim and letting the culprit walk away unscathed.
Dehne has filed four ethics complaints against Griffin since September 1997. All have been dismissed.
Apparently the final straw came June 10 in a complaint the commission labeled "malicious, vexatious, and without merit."
Chairwoman Mary Boetsch says there were false statements, there was no evidence and the commission decided that Dehne had to be sanctioned.
While there is no official appeal process on the fine, Dehne says he is hiring a lawyer and will fight it in court.
