Divas detailed
"Sang Sista' Sang," a musical which follows the stories of music divas -- Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Dorothy Dandridge, Josephine Baker and Mahalia Jackson -- will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at Buffalo Bill's Star of the Desert Arena in Primm. The show was created by Motown legends Smokey Robinson and Mickey Stevenson. Tickets are $18.50 and $28.50. Sounds of freedom
Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, celebrates the spirit of freedom with exhibit "Wade in the Water: African-American Sacred Music Traditions." Concert broadcast

Local TV talk show host Dominick Brascia (KCNG Channel 15) is looking for songwriters and bands with CDs to work on his new movie, tentatively titled "My Life As A Troll," which begins post-production work next week. Coins displayed
Nine historic gold coins recovered from a 19th-century shipwreck are on display at the Treasures of Mandalay Bay Museum at Mandalay Bay hotel-casino. The rare gold coins were purchased at an auction and are valued at more than a $250,000.
