2ND RACE:
Queenie Belle -] Off slowly, came out and rallied for solid debut runner-up in last, swift recent drill since raced, draws inside, race experience now, Solis returns on Cecil trainee, rings graduation belle here. Sweet Lucky Charm - Dueled lead and weakened in last, set pace and held 2nd before that, has most experience--with 5 races--in the field, adds blinkers and gets jockey switch to Desormeaux now. 3RD RACE:
Wandering - 3-wide bid and outkicked at a mile on turf in last, chased, led and won sprinting before that, in the quinella 5 of most recent 7 outings with a pair of victories, past winner at this level and trip. Azure Ciel - Steadied at the start and 4-wide bid when close 6th at a mile on turf in last, in the money 4 of 6 races on fast dirt tracks, drops to lowest level of career, Flores stays for cagey Northern California trainer, beware. 4TH RACE :
Nibley - Broke slow then rallied inside from rail post for debut 2nd in last, steady works since raced, draws better post for stretchout, race experience now, Solis stays for trainer Gonzalez, served ample notice. Ivycoveredwalls - Stalked pace with even run when runner up at this trip on good track in last, 3rd at a mile three races back, gets significant jockey change to Gomez now, should be a diploma factor throughout. Bolero Boy - Solid Vienna-trained entry with Seigneurial, inside bid for runner-up in comeback race at this trip in last, 4 of 5 lifetime victories at this distance and 3-for-7 on Hollypark lawn, Blanc back, had race, beware. Destiny's Venture - Dueled lead and caught on the wire when 2nd by a head at this trip in last, in the quinella 5 of 8 starts on Hollypark lawn and this distance with a pair of wins, Flores back for trainer Mitchell, another factor here. 6TH RACE:
Maitrise - Speed, dueled lead and second best at this distance and track in last, 3rd sprinting at Bay Meadows before that, bullet drill on the 7th since raced, Desormeaux/Drysdale team, ready now. Lady Cadet - Part of contending entry with Hollyhoney, hard knocking mare won on the main as the favorite while claimed in last, in the quinella 15 of 33 lifetime starts with 9 victories, Antley now for new trainer Cerin, always a factor. 8TH RACE:
Play It Safe - Closed over 9 lengths while 5-wide when close 3rd in last, distant runner-up before that, improved with each of three career starts, Desormeaux takes over on Sise trainee, adds blinkers for this trip. Kalahari Son - Another bang-up miss of 19 lifetime trys in last, finished well for runner up, in the money 6 of 7 starts at this distance, certain exotics play, Ramsammy will try again, keeps knocking on diploma door.
