Pool aerobics class offered at Sunset Station
A class on pool aerobics for seniors is being offered 10-11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Sunset Station pool.
A certified instructor from Sunrise Hospital's Health Strategies will teach the low-impact exercise regime. Cost is $2. Bring your own towel. Reservations are required. Call 434-6500.
African culture will be celebrated on weekend
African culture will take center stage at the fourth annual Fruits of Africa International African Heritage Festival Friday through Sunday in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Gold Lot at the northwest corner of Convention Center Drive and Paradise Road.
Programs and schedules for the event will be available at local libraries, hotels, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority's visitor information centers and many businesses throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Call 225-2000 or 454-1212.
Sweet Adelines host classes for seniors
The Celebrity City Chorus of Sweet Adelines will host the College of Musical Knowledge with vocal instructor Linda Taylor.
Lessons on four-part a capella singing will be available 7 p.m. every Tuesday from June 22 to July 13 at the Henderson Senior Center, 27 E. Texas St. Call 223-7893.

A sandbox splash and swim party is being offered for children 6 and younger 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Black Mountain Aquatic Complex, 599 Greenway Road. This free event requires registration. Call 565-2123.
The Jewish Genealogy Society of Southern Nevada-West will hold a workshop on using the federal census to track family roots at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. Call Charlotte during the day at 363-8230.
