Police were investigating an apparent shootout this morning that left one man dead and two wounded.
A 22-year-old man died and a 24-year-old was listed in critical condition at University Medical Center today after both were involved in the Wednesday night shooting at a residence, a Metro police spokesman said.
After searching the residence in the 2600 block of Caselton Street, police found Dion Wiley, 24, who had suffered a leg wound, police Sgt. Rick Alby said.
Police responded to a call of shots fired and found the two wounded men outside of the house. Both were transported to UMC, and the 24-year-old victim was taken into surgery. Their names won't be released until police notify relatives, Alby said.
