Letter: Traffic computer is waste of money

Does anyone remember how many taxpayer dollars went down the drain on the first one? A dollar gets you a doughnut, the new one won't work any better.
As for going 5-plus mph over the posted speed, there is a growing segment of our population which insists on driving 5-plus mph below the posted speed.
The "lead-feet" might slow down if the "lead-bottoms" picked up the pace a bit. And don't even get me started on Decatur Boulevard or the many other rolling parking lots that plague the surface streets.
Then there's the excellent signage that lets you know which lane to be in to go either north or south on U.S. 95 from the surface streets. Not!
