Historic restaurant closes

The Green Shack has been a fixture in the city since the days when workers building Hoover Dam frequented the restaurant on East Fremont.
Owners Jim and Barbara McCormick have been struggling to keep the city's oldest restaurant open while they looked for a buyer.
But they threw in the towel on May 30 when the cook couldn't make it to work.
The McCormicks say the closing appeared inevitable, with only 25 to 30 people coming in nightly.
