StumbleMazza takes lead at Showboat Invitational

John Mazza jumped from eighth place into the third-round lead Wednesday night in the PBA Showboat Invitational.
Mazza had no lower than a 215 score for his eight games Wednesday night and completed the round with a pinfall 5,759.
Rick Steelsmith, who bowled high games of 299 and 268, was only two pins back, followed by Tim Criss with 5,741 and Mike Koivuniemi of Finland with 5,716.
After another round of qualifying today, the top 24 scorers advance to match play tonight and Friday. The top four then advance to Saturday's finals.
