Allied Arts Council to benefit from sale
AT&T Wireless Services is hosting an art sale noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 3280 E. Flamingo Road.
The art was donated by Bank of America and the proceeds will benefit the Allied Arts Council of Southern Nevada and its programs. Call 386-4804.
District schedules programs for all ages
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is holding a variety of special programs.
Among the scheduled events is Young Masters, in which patrons 6 and older can learn about master musicians, artists and authors through music and art projects June 9, 16 and 23 at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
Benefit set Saturday at Clark County Library
Retired Col. Grethe Cammermeyer is scheduled to speak at the Victory Fund Benefit 8 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Library Theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
The event will also feature the one-man show "An Intimate Evening With Michael Kearns." Call 256-9255.
Cancer survivors picnic
Cancer survivors and their families are invited to attend a free picnic to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at Rotary Park (across from Hyde Park Middle School, 1000 W. Hinson St.). Call Laura Leach at University Medical Center, 383-2501.
