Improvements completed at Cashman complex
Clark County residents are invited to celebrate the completion of park improvements at Cashman School Park 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at 4622 W. Desert Inn Road.
A dedication ceremony will be hosted by Commissioner Erin Kenny at 10:15 a.m. Call 455-8200 for more information.
Openings available in summer camps
A variety of summer sport and specialty day camps is still available at the YMCA's two main camp sites: the Bennett Family YMCA and the Northwest Extension YMCA.
Some of the one-week camps open from June 7 through Aug. 20 are sport camps, learning camps, creative camps, preschool and teen camps.
All camps are offered as one-week sessions, and financial assistance is available to qualified applicants. Register for Bennett camps at the YMCA, 4141 Meadows Lane. Call 877-9622.
Day of fun, learning planned at Lied Museum
Preschoolers and their families can enjoy a daylong schedule of learning and science fun designed just for them from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Programs, activities and performances are geared toward early learners 5 years and younger during Super Science Saturday for Little Learners, an annual event sponsored by Bechtel Nevada.
Museum admission is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors and children 2-17; and free for children 1 and younger. Call 382-3445.
Retired federal workers to hold their annual event
The Henderson chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees will hold its annual picnic at noon Monday at O'Callaghan Park at Horizon and Skyline drives.

Foundation to host annual golf tournament
The Hemophilia Foundation of Nevada will hold its seventh annual golf tournament Sunday at Angel Park Golf Club. All proceeds will benefit the HFNV's services and programs.
The best ball scramble format has a shotgun start set for 1:30 p.m. Cost is $125 per golfer, which includes green fees, cart, dinner, silent auction and prizes. There will be a hole-in-one contest to win a new 1999 Chevrolet Camaro. For details, call 564-4368.
