Softball complex named for student who died of cancer

Tuesday, June 1, 1999 | 10:21 a.m.

The Clark County School Board has named a three-field softball complex in Henderson for a Silverado High School freshman who died of a rare form of colon cancer last year.

The triplex softball park on district property at the north end of the Thurman White Middle School will be named Stephanie Lynn Craig Memorial Park.

Silverado students and representatives from the Henderson Girls Softball Association requested that the park be named for the girl, a former second baseman and cheerleader.
