NCAA men’s golf glance

WHAT: NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships

WHEN: Wednesday though Saturday

WHERE: Hazeltine Country Club (par 72, 7,196 yards) in Chaska, Minn.

FORMAT: 30 teams and six individuals will play 18 holes over four days. The field will be cut to the top 15 teams following Thursday's second round. Additionally, the top nine individual players not on the top 15 teams will continue to play.

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS: UNLV (team); James McLean, Minnesota (individual)

NOTABLE: UNLV is a combined 57-15 this season against the other 29 teams. The Rebels have a winning record against 19 teams, are .500 against two teams (Washington and Florida) and have not faced eight of the teams.
