Search and rescue crews recovered the body of 33-year-old John Collins shortly after 5:30 Sunday evening, said Nancy Howell of the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office.
Collins' son was playing at Centennial Park when he fell into the river.
Along with Collins, the boy's uncle and another man jumped in after the boy, Howell said.
The two men and the child quickly climbed out of the water, but Collins never resurfaced. His body was found a couple hours later.
