Le Roy Ayres
Le Roy Ayres, 79, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1920, in Cincinnati. A resident for seven years, he was a retired auto worker for an auto manufacturing company, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the National Rifle Association and Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Valerie Migler of Corona, Calif.; one son, Kurt Ayres of Bushnell, Ill.; one sister, Lucinda Kennedy of Sedona, Ariz; and three grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson handled arrangements.
Lawrence Davis Jr.
Lawrence Davis Jr., 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. He was born Dec. 7, 1933, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired operating engineer for Local 12 in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; two daughters, Kathryn Matthews of Cheyenne, Wyo., Patricia Laughlin of Las Vegas; two sons, Doyle Davis of La Verkin, Utah and Jim Davis of Las Vegas; his mother, Beth Davis of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Elaine Smith of Elko and Bethann Shippley of Salt Lake City; one brother, Paul Davis of Kanosh, Utah; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Lola and White LDS Relief Society Room.
Sam S. Esparza
Sam S. Esparza, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Los Angeles. A resident for six years, he war a retired operating engineer for an asphalt paving company.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Patricia Barrios of Huntington Park, Calif.; one son Primi Esparza of North Hollywood, Calif.; one brother, Robert Esparza of Los Angeles; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
Abraham Goldstein
Abraham Goldstein, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 1, 1910, in New York City. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired taxi cab driver.
He is survived by three sons, Herbert Goldstein of Newhall, Calif., Martin Goldstein of Las Vegas and Larry Goldstein of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Linda Van Couvering of Long Beach; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.
Cornelius Joe
Cornelius Joe, 19, of Las Vegas died July 21 in Las Vegas. He was born March 21, 1980, in Albuquerque, N.M. A resident for nine years, he was a utility porter for a hotel.
He is survived by his fiance, Valerie Cruz; one son, Cornelius Joe Jr.; his mother, Nellie White, four brothers, Randall Joe, Thomas Joe Jr, Zachariah Joe, Andrew Gomez Jr., and one sister, Valerie Alyssa Gomez, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial is private.
Joyce Elizabeth Kane
Joyce Elizabeth Kane, 52, of Las Vegas died July 23 in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1946, in New York. A resident for 13 years, she was a medical transcriber.
She is survived by two sons, William H. Kane Jr. and Timothy A. Kane; one daughter, Candice M. Augustine, his mother, Marjorie Schumaker; two sisters, Marjorie Mock and Frances Smith; and six grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society handled arrangements.
Maud M. Latta
Maud M. Latta, 95, of Las Vegas died July 23 in Las Vegas. She was born April 21, 1904, in Rosedale, Miss. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired kindergarten teacher.
A memorial service is scheduled 4 p.m. Aug. 20 in Christ Episcopal Church.
Tanh Thi Le
Tanh Thi Le, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Long Thanh My, Vietnam. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Hao Nguyen of Tacoma, Wash., and Be Nguyen of Garden Grove, Calif.; three daughters, Hoanh Nguyen of Vietnam, Mau Nguyen of Overland Park, Kan., and Lisa Nguyen of Las Vegas; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
Brigida Libatique
Brigida Libatique, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 11, 1905, in the Philippines. A resident for 30 years, she was a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Silverio Libatique, three daughters, Jovita Narciso, Erlinda Guiao and Calixta Libatique, two sons, Steve DelRosario and Mario Libatique, two sisters, Rosa Vicente and Magdalena Garcia, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Lamberto Ipac and Felino Ipac, both of the Philippines; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is schedule 8 a.m.-7 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass is scheduled 9:30 a.m. Monday in St Bridgets Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Mortuary.
Hilda Freseman McKim
Hilda Freseman McKim, 91, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1907, in Mars, Penn. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired registered nurse and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.
She is survived by one brother, Richard D. Freseman of Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Visitation were scheduled 2 until 3 p.m. services today in St Christophers Episcopal Church in Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson handled arrangements.
Jeannette R. Patterson
Jeannette R. Patterson, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 29, 1912, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Greener of San Diego and Pamela Larason of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave.
Kenneth M. Tiffany Jr.
Kenneth M. Tiffany Jr., 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Hutchinson, Kan. A resident for 40 years, he was a musician for a local hotel orchestra.
He is survived by his mother, Peninnah Jane Tiffany of Las Vegas.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Billy E. Webb
Billy E. Webb, 72, of Mesquite died Tuesday in Mesquite. He was born July 20, 1927, in Oklahoma. A former resident of Las Vegas, he was a plumber for Local 525 and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bill Becker of Clovis, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services are scheduled 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Bunker Memory Gardens.
