John Muir, 45, of Fernley, was killed when the service truck he was driving drifted into the median early Wednesday, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The NHP said the Granite Construction Co. truck overturned when Muir overcorrected.
Muir was on his way to a job site east of Elko when the accident occurred. He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
A 19-year-old Salt Lake City man died Wednesday night when a vehicle driven by his sister overturned.
Kathryn R. Saalsaa, 18, was eastbound when the sport utility vehicle she was driving drifted off the road shortly before 9 p.m. She overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll, the patrol said.
Saalsaa's brother, Richard, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
A third occupant, Tisa Pickering, 18, of Sandy, Utah, suffered moderate injuries.
She and the driver were taken to Elko General Hospital.
