Sentimental Susan - Pressed pace and cleared to break maiden mid-May in last, freshened with steady works since, Solis returns on Spawr trainee, stretches out now, a foward factor here. 2ND RACE:
Im Tough Enough - Hesitated at the start and off slow then finished 3rd to be placed 2nd through disqualification in debut in last, nice gate work since raced, Solis stays on beaten Harrington-trained favorite, prompt start necessary. Let's Play Gin - 1st time starter by Go For Gin, steady solid Anita works with most recent pair of moves from the gate, good post, well placed, hustling bug boy Radke for Northern California trainer Morey, Jr. Value Play -- Emerald Pendant
3RD RACE:
Freespool - Speed then shortened stride to fade in Hollypark stakes in last, gate-to-wire victories in prior three starts, pair of Del Mar drills since, Desormeaux returns on West trainee, the one to catch. Kona Wind - 4-wide 3rd in last, fractious at the gate and 4th before that, in the quinella 7 of 20 starts on fast dirt tracks with a pair of victories, another with a pair of works over the track, Solis stays on Stute trainee. 4TH RACE:
Middleberg - Late bid for close 4th on Hollypark lawn late May in last, 3-wide winner while claimed at this price before that, 3-wide game victory three races back, 3 of 5 lifetime starts at this trip, Mitchell trainee freshened and Antley returns. Ready Eddie - Outrun in most recent pair of outings at higher levels, swift works since raced on 5/12 with a pair of bullet drills at Hollypark, draws good rail post, Eddie D. reunites on Hendricks trainee, should be competitive here. Value Play -- Nasrudin
5TH RACE:
Very Caerleon - Broke maiden with solid effort when last raced on 6/13, trio of works with most recent move over this track, has good style for this heat, should stalk speed and could trip out for another win with Solis at the helm. Five Star Day - Tracked and wore down foe to break maiden at Hollypark in last, runner-up after setting pace while bled from mouth before that, nice most recent Del Mar work on the 25th, another with repeat possibilities. Value Play -- House Special
6TH RACE:
Corissa's Whisper - Set pace and second best in last, set pace and outfinished when 2nd before that, gate-to-wire maiden breaker three races back, Pedroza got to know Carava trainee in last, back for a tag, theft on agenda. Kaaaching - Set pace and caught late for close 2nd at a mile on Hollypark lawn in last, dueled lead and game win by a neck sprinting before that, on-the-pace debut maiden breaker three races back, drops a level and back sprinting for this. 7TH RACE:
Montemiro - Just missed with 4-wide late bid when 2nd by a neck on Hollypark lawn in last, 6-length winner in Golden Gate grass stakes in U. Self Feeder - Outrun by Old Trieste in Grade II Hollypark dirt stakes in last, in the quinella 5 of 8 lifetime turf starts with 3 of 5 career victories, 2-for-3 at this trip, steady works for return, Eddie D. stays, trainer Gallagher better than recent record. 8TH RACE:
Ballaco - Even debut 4th while 4-wide and split the field in last, training track work at Anita since raced, Eddie D. sticks around for nightcap graduation on Palma trainee, needs only to improve off debut effort to get diploma. Memomandtheboys - Outrun at Pleasanton off 5-month layoff in last, ships south and drops to claimer now, Del Mar work on the 24th, good post, hustling Espinoza for trainer Hess, may have found graduation level.
