Bank robbed in Henderson
Tuesday, July 27, 1999 | 10:15 a.m.
A masked man robbed a Bank of America at the Galleria Mall in Henderson this morning, handcuffing employees and escaping with an unknown amount of cash.
A robber wearing a mask and gloves entered the branch at 641 Mall Ring Circle just after it opened at 8 a.m. and brandished a revolver. He handcuffed at least two employees and took them to a back area of the building, Henderson Police Lt. Jutta Chambers said. The employees were not injured, she said.
The robber grabbed the cash and fled the bank. Police believe he escaped in a car driven by an accomplice, but no one was able to get a description of the getaway vehicle. Because of the robber's mask and gloves, police were also unable to obtain his description from the victims.
