Gary L. Bryant, a Bureau of Reclamation employee since 1972, has been appointed deputy area manager of the Lower Colorado Dams Facilities Office at Hoover Dam.
Bryant is currently area manager for Reclamation's Yuma Area office in Arizona. His appointment became effective Monday. He replaces Jim Cherry who moved from Hoover Dam to the Yuma office.
As deputy area manger, Bryant will oversee the day-to-day operation of Hoover Dam, including the visitor program. He will also be involved in the operations of David and Parker Dams downstream in Arizona.
The City Centre Development Corp. board of directors has promoted Stacey Lied to vice president of planning and development. Lied previously served as project manager for CCDC, a private, nonprofit organization headed by local business leaders to direct, supervise, and structure transactions on behalf of the Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency.
Lied oversees the agency's financial, legal and management issues on the $100 million Neonopolis Project now under development at Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, and assists with the review and coordination of potential redevelopment projects in the city of Las Vegas.
Formerly a senior consultant at the accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand, Lied has also worked with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and the San Diego Association of Governments. She has a bachelor's degree in real estate from Penn State University and a master's degree in city planning from San Diego State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Urban Planners.
