To Steve Carp: Stop being so negative. The ultimate goal for the UNLV basketball team is to reach the NCAA field of 64, so everyone needs a little dessert like a cupcake or two ("After all the talk, Rebel schedule doesn't walk the walk," July 12). So we have 4 or 5 ... so what?
That negative Vegas attitude is brutal. You remember Jerry Tarkanian's run in that PCCW (PCAA) conference or whatever it was called, then the Big West. What a joke!
I loved Tark and now that Bill Bayno is coach, I have to love Bayno. I'm not asking you to be a "homer," but don't make a big deal out of nothing.
