Harry Edward Brady

Harry Edward Brady, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Ohio. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a retired painter and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Linda Mills and Joyce Dixon, and one son, Scott Brady, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Mary, Gladys and Rosa, all of Ohio and Ruth of Alabama; one brother, Tom of Ohio; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to 6 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Steve G. Brown

Steve G. Brown, 45, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1954, in California. A resident for six years, he was a rental car driver and a member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

He is survived by his father, Gary Brown of California; his mother and stepfather, Ruth and Tony DiMaggio of Las Vegas; two brothers, David Brown of Las Vegas and Scott Brown of California; and one sister, Gayle Maynard of California.

No local services are scheduled. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Richard Butcher Sr.

Richard Butcher Sr., 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Modesto, Calif. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired gaming supervisor.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Frisella of Rockford, Ill., and Susie Davis of Las Vegas; three sons, Thomas Butcher, Richard Butcher Jr. and Chad Butcher, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald Butcher of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three former wives, Mary McClatchey, Patricia Butcher and Jill Schwikert, and his companion, Glenda Pierce, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Vincent P. Dooley

Vincent P. Dooley, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1943, in New Hampshire. A resident for many years, he was a schoolteacher and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristen Dooley of Hamden, Conn., and Shannon Dooley of Cheshire, Conn.

No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Loretta Ann Fielding

Loretta Ann Fielding, 61, of Dolan Springs, Ariz., died July 13 in Dolan Springs. She was born Dec. 17, 1937, in Cleveland. A former Las Vegas resident for 10 years, she was a customer service representative in the food industry.

She is survived by her husband, Denis; one son, Denis Fielding Jr. of Henderson; two daughters, Rosemarie Hunter of North Las Vegas and Dorothy Carrick of Richmond Heights, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Aura Luz Fresquez

Aura Luz Fresquez, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 24, 1929, in Colombia. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Robert Avila of Florida; and her companion, Martha Vallejo of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 5-10 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 7 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services. Burial will be in Colombia.

Merle Odin Hage

Merle Odin Hage, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1913, in Minnesota. A resident for 49 years, he was a chemical operator.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline; two sons, Roy Hage and David Eastman; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert Martin Haugh

Robert Martin Haugh, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born April 25, 1932, in Kokomo, Ind. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired county building inspector, a veteran of the Coast Guard and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores M.; three daughters, Cindi L. Zicari of Henderson, Carrie L. Onorato of Las Vegas and Jennifer A. Lane of Auburn, Ala.; two sons, Robert G. Haugh and Michael J. Haugh, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road.

Gerard D. Henderson

Gerard D. Henderson, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 20, 1947, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, he was a Vietnam War Army veteran and earned a position on the National Dean's List while at UNLV.

He is survived by his companion, Veronica Currie of Las Vegas; and one sister, Imelda East of Massachusetts.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Carlos J. Hernandez

Carlos J. Hernandez, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1937, in Havana. A resident for five years, he was a cigar maker.

He is survived by his companion, Raquel of Las Vegas; five daughters, Concepcion Mesa of Las Vegas and Raquel Hernandez, Mercedez Hernandez, Maria Hernandez and Maira Hernandez, all of Havana; his mother, Sara Suarez, and one brother, Rolando Hernandez, both of Havana; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park.

James B. Kenney

James B. Kenney, 92, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 4, 1907, in Turtle Creek, Pa. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired machine shop foreman from Bendix Westinghouse Automotive Air Brake Corp. and a member of Vegas 32 Lodge of the Masons.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda S. Derrick of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Thomas Kramer

Thomas Kramer, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 29, 1946, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for three months, he was self-employed in the construction industry and was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by four brothers, Henry Kramer of Queens, N.Y., James Kramer of El Paso, Texas, Russell Kramer of New York City and Eugene Kramer of Austin, Texas; one sister, Jeannette Hanson of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Samuel Sanford Marlin

Samuel Sanford Marlin, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1916, in New York. A resident for 27 years, he was a campaign manager and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, Joseph Marlin; and three sisters, Frieda Miller, Flora Beckman and Sylvia Dolce.

Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Donald Naughtin

Donald Naughtin, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1929, in Wisconsin. A resident for one year, he was a retail sales manager and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Donald F. Naughtin Jr. of Dawsonville, Ga., and Patrick M. Naughtin of Conyers, Ga.; three brothers, Thomas Naughtin of Las Vegas and Robert Naughtin and Charles Naughtin, all of Corsicana, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Hinrichs and Eileen Walker, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. James Catholic Church, 820 N. H St. Burial will be in Georgia. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Michael S. Rizzo Sr.

Michael S. Rizzo Sr., 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired restaurateur, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by one daughter, Angela Nunley of Boulder City; three sons, Lee Anthony Rizzo, Michael S. Rizzo III and Michael Robert Rizzo, all of Henderson; three sisters, Ann Puleo and Mary White, both of Buffalo, N.Y., and Josephine Rampino of Chicago; three brothers, Nick Rizzo and Frank Rizzo, both of Buffalo, and John Rizzo of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave.

Grady Ross

Grady Ross, 75, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born June 3, 1924, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired hotel kitchen worker and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Neomia Cox of Las Vegas; and many grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Stanley J. Schultz Jr.

Stanley J. Schultz Jr., 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired service technician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; one son, Stanley J. Schultz III; one sister, Patricia of North Carolina; two brothers, Robert Schultz and Frank Schultz, both of Illinois; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens.

Edwin M. Westendarp

Edwin M. Westendarp, 92, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 18, 1907, in Saugus, Mass. A resident for 30 years, he was president of American Alloys for 40 years, a graduate of Huntington Preparatory School in Boston, the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., and did graduate work at MIT.

He is survived by his wife, Velma A.; one daughter, Gail Bandini; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
