Marcia Abrams
Marcia Abrams, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Massachusetts. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker and an Air Force veteran.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Abrams of Bedford, Mass., and Bruce Abrams of Boston.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Virginia Bird
Virginia Bird, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 23, 1918, in Peoria, Ariz. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired hotel-casino housekeeper.
She is survived by three daughters, Antoinette Spano and Evonne Hartman, both of Las Vegas and Marie Jones of Brush Prairie, Wash.; one son, John Bird of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Marian De Caro of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 315 S. Casino Center Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box G, Kanab, UT 84741.
Doria Maria Crebs
Doria Maria Crebs, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 23, 1922, in Rebersberg, Pa. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired beautician.
She is survived by three brothers, Dean Crebs, Doyle Crebs and Myles Crebs, all of Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Thelma Crebs and Violet Crebs, both of Las Vegas.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Patricia F. Dean
Patricia F. Dean, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1936, in England. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired hotel cocktail waitress.
The first memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. The next memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Nathan Adelson Hospice chapel, 4141 S. Swenson St.

Mary B. Dyson
Mary B. Dyson, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Ireland. A resident for many years, she was a nurses aide in the medical profession.
She is survived by her husband, William.
Burial will be in Salt Lake City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Jack Fenkell
Jack Fenkell, 70, of Winnemucca died Thursday in Winnemucca. He was born June 22, 1929, in Tonopah. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a retired office manager for the State of Nevada Employment Security Department, a former employee of the State Gaming Control Board and served as chief of enforcement from 1965 to 1967 and a Korean War Army lieutenant. He was a 1947 graduate of Mineral High School and a 1952 graduate of University of Nevada, Reno.
He is survived by his wife, Jerry Ann; three daughters, Patricia Fenkell and Jackie Silveira, both of Reno and Jacy Black of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Larry Fenkell of Reno and Tim Fenkell of Sacramento; and four grandchildren.
Albertson Funeral Home, Winnemucca, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Sheldon Refuge Fund, U.S. Bank, P.O. Box 1160, Winnemucca, NV 89446 (for the enhancement of hunting and camping on the refuge).
Vivian 'Viv' Frehner
Vivian 'Viv' Frehner, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 6, 1914, in St. Thomas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, a former deputy sheriff in Caliente who patrolled on horseback, during World War II he operated heavy equipment and was kept from service to keep the roads clear in Central Nevada, was on restoration crew following the construction of Hoover Dam, member of Mounted Search and Rescue team that retrieved bodies of scientists that crashed at Charleston Peak.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; three daughters, Frances Cox, Angela Zobrist and Lynne Watts, and one son, Rex Frehner, all of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Wednesday at 3200 Mustang LDS Ward. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Mary Jane Houpt
Mary Jane Houpt, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 27, 1923, in Mount Sterling, Ky. A resident for 51 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Senior Friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Babbs of Las Vegas; two sisters, Martha Burgher and Alice Ratliff, both of Winchester, Ky.; one brother, Louis Hedger of Greenville, Mich.; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Leah Naegle
Leah Naegle, 78, of Boulder City died Sunday in Boulder City. She was born July 10, 1921, in Hurricane, Utah. A resident for 48 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Naegle of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Shirl Naegle of Henderson and Alan Naegle of Boulder City; two brothers, Luwayne Wood of St. George, Utah, and Calvert Wood of Nyssa, Ore.; two sisters, Glenna Tippets of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Maud Brown of Kanab, Utah; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Hurricane City Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ruthie Reynolds
Ruthie Reynolds, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1920, in Las Vegas. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by eight daughters, Willie Estelle, Bobbie Richardson, Gloria Reynolds, Marie Green, Annie Thompson, Wilhemina Robertson, Geraldine Reynolds and Jeweldine Purifoy, and two sons, Tom Reynolds and Roy Lee Reynolds, all of Las Vegas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Charles G. Schaefer Jr.
Charles G. Schaefer Jr., 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. A retired newspaper circulation supervisor, he was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; one daughter, Sandra Stevens of Las Vegas; one son, Randall Schaefer of Ventura, Calif.; two sisters, Wilhelmina Bartnick of New York state and Frieda Nieland of Germany; and three grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Garry Wayne Sherman
Garry Wayne Sherman, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 3, 1946, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for 17 years, he was a light and sound man in the hotel industry and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Darrell Erickson of Las Vegas; his father, J.W. "Jay" Sherman of Bossier City, La.; and one sister, Donna Hansen of Riverside.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
