Southern Nevada's American Legion Baseball All-Star Night will be held Wednesday at Durango High School. The game will be preceded by the Junior Legion state title game, which is slated to begin at 4 p.m., along with individual varsity skills competitions, including the annual home run derby.
The nine-inning varsity all-star game is scheduled for 8 p.m., with Cimarron-Memorial's Bill Rodriguez and Green Valley's Kurt Gehlken coaching the West and East squads, respectively. Durango, Basic and Green Valley lead the way with four all-stars apiece, with league-leading Silverado out of town during the event.
