Rafael Vargas was booked last week for investigation of felony trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was held in the Carson City Jail on $80,000 bail.
Vargas is accused of delivering a half-ounce of methamphetamine to an undercover Tri-Net drug agent.
Tri-Net agents and Nevada Division of Investigation investigators then arrested Vargas in the parking lot of the Albertson's store on Highway 50 East. The seized drugs had a value of $300, according to Tri-Net spokeswoman Kim Evans.
Also confiscated were the cell phone, pager and $741 in cash.
The suspect previously had been arrested on drug-related charges under the name Oscar Gonzales, Evans said.
The task force includes members from the sheriff's departments in Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties and Carson City and from the Nevada Division of Investigation.
