Letter: Las Vegas long overdue for subway system
Friday, July 16, 1999 | 9:38 a.m.
Is there any reason why a subway has not yet been constructed under the Strip? Such a project could easily be financed by an increased hotel tax, and would drastically reduce the amount of foot and vehicle traffic on the Strip.
My proposal for subway stops:
* McCarran International Airport
* Excalibur/NY-NY/MGM/Tropicana
* Bellagio/Caesars/Barbary Coast/Bally's
* Circus Circus/Riviera
* Stratosphere/Olympic Garden
* Fremont Street/Downtown
* Cashman Field
I open the floor to comments.
