Shirley Jean Ardis
Shirley Jean Ardis, 61, of Las Vegas died July 8 in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Evergreen, Ala. A resident for three years, she was a teacher and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony; one son, Anthony Jr.; one brother, James Jacobs Jr., and one sister, Nell G. Stott, both of Pensacola, Fla.; and several grandchildren.
Services were 1:30 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. A private burial followed.
Joanne H. Barry
Joanne H. Barry, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born March 15, 1938, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired sales secretary.
She is survived by one son, Susan Seay of Baldwin Park, Calif.; one son, Kenneth Seay of Los Angeles; two stepdaughters, Kathy Deckert of Park City, Utah, and Barbara Kerschner of Pe Ell, Wash.; three stepsons, Michael Barry of Long Beach, Calif., James Barry of Torrance, Calif., and John Barry of Chimayo, N.M.; two sisters, Mary Jane Lynn of Monrovia, Calif., and Deborah Carlton of Tujunga, Calif.; one brother, Thomas Lynn of Glendale, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday with a 5 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Alfonso James Bausley
Alfonso James Bausley, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1913, in Marshall, Texas. A resident for four years, he was a retired Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Smith Bausley; one daughter, Celena; and two sisters, Helen Thomas and Hortence Stepheny.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Harrison-Ross. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Carolyn A. Chatham
Carolyn A. Chatham, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 6, 1939, in Chicago. A resident for two years, she was a retired data processing programmer.
She is survived by one daughter, Dana Chatham of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Christine Larish of Hayden Lake, Idaho; one son, Brian Chatham of Sylmar, Calif.; one sister, Patricia Hayes of Bakersfield, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jeffrey Allan Crawford
Jeffrey Allan Crawford, 28, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1971, in Virginia. A resident for six months, he was an attorney.
He is survived by his father, Tommy D. Crawford, his mother, Carrie B. Kinney, and one brother, James Crawford, all of Virginia.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
John Edward Dean
John Edward Dean, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Minnesota. A resident for two years, he was an accountant and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Michael of Las Vegas and Jeff of Minnesota; one daughter, Kelly of Las Vegas; his parents, Robert and Josephine of Minnesota; seven brothers; five sisters; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 9:30 a.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Frederick Raymond Egan
Frederick Raymond Egan, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 14, 1937, in Washington state. A resident for nine years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by two sons, George Egan and Mike Egan, both of Las Vegas; five daughters, Diana Wheeler of Oregon, Shari Bennett, Erin Kuch and Kimberly Egan, all of Washington and Mary Larsen of Florida; three sisters, Sharon Holdren and Crystal Dillinger, both of Washington and Sandra Walton of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the home of Pat Scarbo. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Johnie Mae Ferguson
Johnie Mae Ferguson, 75, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born April 8, 1924, in Batesville, Ark. A resident for seven years, she owned and operated a preschool in California.
She is survived by her husband, William; three sons, Jimmie Swan, Arthur Joe Swan and Robbie Wayne Swan, and one sister, Emma Joe Hayne, all of California; one brother, James Harris of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jack C. Goode
Jack C. Goode, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Abilene, Texas. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired owner-operator of an air conditioning company, a Navy veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; four daughters, Elizabeth Hope Claxton of Denton, Texas, Carol Ann Goode and Lynn Ann Goode, both of Las Vegas and Kim Goode of Upland, Calif.; two sons, Arnold Darwin Goode of Las Vegas and Jack Goode of Upland; his mother and stepfather, Opal and William H. Cowan of Johnson Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Georgie Marie Goodwin
Georgie Marie Goodwin, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1918, in Sparta, Tenn. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired convenience store owner-operator.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Jo Allen of Browns Valley, Calif., and Judy Simpson and Marsha Goodwin, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Michelle 'Shelley' Hickey
Michelle 'Shelley' Hickey, 38, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 2, 1961, in Baltimore. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired special education schoolteacher at Albert Edwards Elementary.
She is survived by her parents, LaJuana and John Hickey, and two sisters, Cathy Hickey and Suzanne Hickey, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, Budd Hickey of Reno.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Dominic Albano Mills
Dominic Albano Mills, 21 weeks, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Feb. 14, 1999, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Florianne Mills, one sister, Charmaine Mills, and one brother, Sean Mills, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Florante and Juanita Albano of Modesto, Calif., Anita Balguer of Las Vegas and Howard Mills of Oklahoma City.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church Building Fund, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Nell M. Nicksick
Nell M. Nicksick, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Burgettstown, Pa. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired office manager of a sports equipment repair shop.
She is survived by one son, Jim Nicksick of Henderson; one sister, Vera Martin of Burgettstown; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Theresa J. Reed
Theresa J. Reed, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 28, 1930, in Los Angeles. A resident for 30 years, she worked in the human resources division of Sierra Health Services.
She is survived by two daughters, Anne Kottke of McHenry, Ill., and Emily Johnson of Las Vegas; two sons, James Reed of Las Vegas and Robert Reed of Walnut Creek, Calif.; two brothers, Stephen Long of Prescott, Ariz., and Michael Long of Fallbrook, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Howard H. Ritchie Sr.
Howard H. Ritchie Sr., 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 14, 1931, in Lincolnton, N.C. A recent resident, he was a retired federal government aircraft maintenance manager and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; three sons, Howard H. Ritchie Jr. of Las Vegas, John Scott of Beijing, China, and Duke A. of New York City; two daughters, Patricia Ann of Lake Tahoe and Anita of Beijing; his mother, Dora Ritchie of Ironstation, N.C.; one brother, Dale Ritchie, and four sisters, Ruby Grigg, Sue Vance, Dean Shull and Diane Garris, all of North Carolina; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Leonard L. Trainer
Leonard L. Trainer, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 31, 1914, in New York. A resident for 38 years, he was an insurance adjuster.
He is survived by one son, Leonard L. Trainer Jr. of Hanover, Mass.; two daughters, Frances Merner and Violet Trainer, both of Jefferson, N.H.; two brothers, Francis Trainer and William Friedman, both of Florida; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Entombment will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Harold Walcott
Harold Walcott, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 6, 1916, in Detroit. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired supervisor for a tubing parts company and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one brother, Norbert Walkowski of Sterling Heights, Mich.
