Colonel Kelly - Returns from one-year layoff with steady works, claimed by trainer Carava mid-May '98 and promptly put on the shelf, Pedroza gets tabbed for comeback, broke maiden off-the-shelf sprinting from the rail.
Value Play -- Imworthetime
2nd Race
Princess Candi - Won by daylight as the favorite at this trip while claimed late-May in last, won half of 6 previous starts, bullet drill on 6/19, trainer Spawr gets Solis for return, knows how to win.
Special Eyes - Got the lead and outkicked when 4th in last, won at high-level claimer four races back, 3-for-6 at this distance and 3-for-4 at Hollypark, 4 of 7 lifetime victories on fast dirt tracks, Pincay stays for main track return.
Value Play -- Truly Misty
3rd Race
Andover the Money - Off in-the-air and 4-wide to win at this trip, course and level in last, stalked and won at a mile on this course three races back, meets same type of runners again, Pedroza again on Abrams trainee, repeat ready.
Fair Apache - Broke maiden at first asking while 3-deep early July '98, returned to win while 3-wide sprinting on the main mid-May in last, steady works, Ramsammy returns on Shirreffs trainee, goes for perfection again.
Value Play -- Really Can
4th Race
Sunny Forecast - Stalked from inside and weakened first time routing on the lawn in straight maiden class in last, wide trip and debut 3rd while claimed sprinting before that, draws rail for second route try and back on main now, expect turnaround performance.
Gio's Tumi - No speed early and closed for 3rd in last, closed gap for runner up effort three races back, runner up 3 of 5 starts at this distance, reunites with Solis here, needs honest pace to run at, may be Gio's turn to graduate.
Value Play -- Fly Kinda Guy
5th Race
K Sera - Made 3-wide bid and willingly stayed close 4th late-May in last, dueled lead from rail post and gamely won sprinting before that, broke maiden in claimer four races back, Pincay stays for return, proven winner off freshening.
Icksnay - Finished well for close 2nd while claimed off 5-month layoff in last, in the quinella 32 of 56 lifetime starts with 14 victories, 13 of 22 at this distance with a half-dozen victories and 4 of 6 at Hollypark with a pair of wins, knows how to win.
Value Play -- Another Olive
6th Race
Wingless Flight - 1st time starter by Mr. Prospector offspring, good steady worktab with bullet drill on 5/22, trainer Garcia batting 16 percent at the meet, Gomez tabbed for debut, take a fresh face in this.
Afraidofrain - 3-wide and best of rest when debut 3rd in last, pair of works since raced, draws better post here, race experience now, McCarron stays on Sise trainee, may not be afraid to graduate over these.
Value Play -- Harvest Hoedown
7th Race
Storm Wreck - Rallied to just miss when 2nd by a neck at this trip, track and conditions in last, should get similar trip from inner post here, Solis got to know McAnally trainee in last, respect connections.
Free - Solid victory at this distance on turf in last, 3rd sprinting on lawn before that, broke maiden on sod three races back, now trys racing on main track, draws rail post for this route, McCarron returns on Hofmans trainee, hmmm.
Value Play -- March of Kings
8th Race
Rugger - Stalked and weakened first time routing on turf in last, stalked and second best sprinting before that, swift solid works continue, draws good post for this grass sprint, Desormeaux takes over for this.
Little Memin - 1st time starter by Memo, solid swift worktab with 3 bullet drills from most recent 8 moves, draws good inner post, Solis tabbed for debut, needs to break prompt for this, drills whisper quick from blocks.
