The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will sponsor the Professional Bull Riders Tour Championship in Las Vegas for four more years and two golf events this year in Mesquite.
Board members voted unanimously to sponsor the PBR Tour event through 2003.
The agency, charged with attracting tourists to Southern Nevada, was a sponsor in 1997 and 1998 and this year's event is scheduled Oct. 28-31 at the Thomas & Mack Center. It will be televised by The Nashville Network.
The LVCVA's sponsorship cost will increase from $1 million to $1.2 million over the four years.
