Ken Holt edged Chuck Trickle and Scott Gafforini in a thrilling 40-lap NASCAR Late Model feature event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's 3/8-mile paved oval Saturday night.
The fastest qualifier, Trickle, drew a number 10 indicating the top 10 cars would be inverted for the start of the main event. The result was a pole position start for Holt.
He held off several challenges for the lead but maintained the point to gain his first victory of the season at LVMS.
Gafforini, the NASCAR Winston Racing Series Sunbelt Region points leader, and Holt raced side-by-side during the first half of the event.
