Construction worker falls to his death
Sunday, July 11, 1999 | 2:25 a.m.
James Arthur Greenleaf IV, 24, of Reno, was installing metal rods at an apartment complex under construction on South Meadows Parkway when he fell Friday.
Greenleaf, an employee of Jackson Quality Drywalling in Minden, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a safety harness and landed on a concrete entry way.
"There were no barricades up on any of the floors to prevent anyone from falling," Reno fire Capt. Denis Peirce said.
State Occupational Health and Safety Enforcement officials will investigate the accident.
