Arrest made in burning body death

Jonathon Charles Lloyd, 27, was arrested late Tuesday in the death of Jennette Testa. The two worked together at a copying center in Reno.

Lloyd is charged with murder, first-degree kidnapping and sexual assault, Deputy Chief Jim Weston said.

He said Lloyd worked at the Kinko's store on California Avenue where Testa, 20, had worked the past four weeks. They said an investigation indicated the two had been having relationship.

Weston said items found at the scene of the crime led them to a south Reno Wal-Mart store where some of the items were found.

"After going through thousands of cash register receipts and hours of surveillance video we were able to pull up an individual that had bought those items," Weston told KOH radio.

That evidence and a witness who saw a truck leaving the scene that matched one owned by the suspect.

It still has not been determined whether the woman was killed before being set on fire or died as a result of the flames.
