Friday, July 2, 1999 | 11:34 a.m.
The Las Vegas Coyotes continued their trend of strong goaltending and timely scoring as they defeated the Blue Ox of Minnesota 6-4 in a Roller Hockey International game at the Santa Fe Arena Thursday night.
Jamie Cooke extended his scoring streak to 10 games early, by netting a goal just 28 seconds into the game. He added his second of the night two minutes later to stake the Coyotes to an early 2-0 lead. Two power play goals by the Blue Ox tied the score early in the second period but Blake Knox put the Coyotes back on top late in the half.
Jakub Ficenec's goal 1:37 into the final quarter was the game winner.
The Dallas Stallions visit the Coyotes at 7:30 tonight at the Santa Fe.
