Park Place chief leaves hospital

Park Place Entertainment Corp. Chief Executive Arthur Goldberg has left Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after a month of treatment for what the company has described as a "respiratory ailment."
No date has been set for Goldberg's return to work at the company, however, as he is continuing his recuperate, a spokesman said.
Park Place previously said Goldberg's recovery would take "longer than anticipated."
The company doesn't expect Goldberg's absence to delay the $3 billion acquisition of Caesars World Inc. from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. The transaction is expected to close later this year.
Park Place stock was trading at $9.75 a share, down 43.75 cents, in midday trading today.
