Rolly Hockey: Las Vegas has franchise

SUN STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
Las Vegas has been identified as one of 10 franchises that will begin play in a restructured Roller Hockey International in June.
The reconfigured league that features players on in-line skates also will have teams in Anaheim, Buffalo, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Minnesota, St. Louis, San Jose and Utah.
If it happens, this will be Las Vegas' second shot as an RHI city. The Las Vegas Flash was a disaster at the box office and folded following one season in 1994.
The league called off the 1998 season because of economic problems that left only three teams ready to play last year. Now, there's a new national TV contract and the league will pay all player and coach salaries as well as teams' travel costs.
RHI will have an 11-week regular season, with most games on Friday and Saturday nights.
