The Four Seasons will employ 650 people at its luxury Las Vegas hotel, but 150 of them are being transferred in from other Four Seasons properties around the world.
On the opening staff are 25 managers who are graduates of UNLV.
Randy Morton, general manager of the Four Seasons Las Vegas, said the company has a special relationship with UNLV. "What we've experienced is the highest retention rate (with UNLV grads). There's a real connection. No other school that we're dealing with has that connection."
Ninety percent of the UNLV grads hired by Four Seasons are still with the company a year later, Morton said.
Four Seasons also hires many managers from Cornell University, the University of Houston, the University of Denver and Florida State University.
