Letter: Thanks for the coverage

As a member of UNLV's Women's Sports Foundation and the UNLV faculty, I want to thank you for the recent coverage of women's sports and gender equity in the Sun. I am pleased to see the articles and columns dealing with these issues.

Exciting things are happening in women's athletics at UNLV, and it's wonderful to see the many accomplishments being acknowledged. In addition, it helps inform the community about the progress that has resulted from the gender equity funding received as a result of the last legislative session.

Thank you for your leadership in this regard.
