The UNLV women's basketball team, which has lost both of the Western Athletic Conference games it has played away from home, is back on the road today with a 5 p.m. contest at Wyoming.
The Lady Rebels (10-6 overall, 2-3 in the WAC) will be hoping for a split on the trip. Wyoming is 5-11 overall and 1-4 in the conference while Colorado State (20-1, 5-0), UNLV's opponent Saturday, is ranked sixth in the nation.
UNLV snapped a two-game conference losing streak last Thursday when it beat Southern Methodist, 72-69 in overtime, at Lied Gymnasium. The Lady Rebels are coming off a 78-62 loss Saturday at home to Texas Christian.
Linda Froehlich continues to lead the Lady Rebels in scoring (23.7 points per game) and rebounding (9.3) and steals (2.9). Froehlich, a freshman guard/forward, ranks fifth in the nation and first in the WAC in scoring.
Today's game at Wyoming and Saturday's 2 p.m. contest at Colorado State will be broadcast live on KSFN 1140-AM.
