Three arrested in mail-theft case

The three are accused of stealing a U.S. Postal Service mailbox and fashioning keys to open several other mailboxes in the city.
Carson City sheriff's investigators said the suspects allegedly forged checks and money orders taken from the mailboxes.
Investigators recovered more than 200 pieces of stolen mail and 50 forged money orders after executing search warrants Friday. A large amount of counterfeit currency and methamphetamine also were recovered.
David Michael Baker, 36, of Carson City, Linda Anne Campau, 47, of Carson City, and Richard Sanchez, 25, of Sparks, were arrested Friday on a variety of charges, including possession of stolen property.
