John G. Bircher, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1918, in Brandenburg, Ky. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant and World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Cherry Blossom Masonic Lodge in Japan.
He is survived by his wife, Nina; one daughter, Linda Robinson, and one son, John Phillip Bircher, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Sumiko Cann
Sumiko Cann, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Tokyo. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Japanese American Citizen's League and Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha.
She is survived by her husband, Warren E. Jr.; two brothers, Hirofuji Sato and Keitaro Kusaka, both of Tokyo; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the Japanese-American Club of Las Vegas, 1316 S. 8th St., Las Vegas, NV 89104, or the Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha.
Helen Corlyn
Helen Corlyn, 70, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born May 17, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired hotel front desk information clerk.
She is survived by her husband, Sy; one son, Gregg Corlyn of Las Vegas; one daughter, Janice Argier of Henderson; one sister, Florence Sperling of Sunrise, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Byrl I. Dunn
Byrl I. Dunn, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 19, 1920, in Harrisburg, Pa. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired grocery store cashier, a member of Good Sams Club and Model A Club.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; one daughter, Joanne Jeffcoat of Norfolk, Va.; one son, Howard E. Dunn of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Janice Rivella of West Palm Beach, Fla; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Thomas John Fey
Thomas John Fey, 86, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 22, 1912, in Ableman, Wis. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired general contractor, a member for 25 years as a 32nd Degree Mason and a longtime elder at the First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Judith Fey Thomas of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, Joel T. Fey of Las Vegas and Jeffrey G. Fey of Van Nuys, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
Mary Nesbit Jenkins
Mary Nesbit Jenkins, 83, of Las Vegas died Jan. 7 in a local care center. She was born Sept. 19, 1915, in Canada. A resident for 17 years, she was a loan officer.
She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Baddon of Las Vegas.

Tom D. Johnson II
Tom D. Johnson II, 54, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Hawthorne. A resident for 40 years, he was an electrician for a computer company, a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a member of Elks Lodge 1418 in St. Maries, Idaho.
He is survived by one sister, Virginia Frampton of Las Vegas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Ellen C. Jones
Ellen C. Jones, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A resident for 45 years, she was born Sept. 25, 1911, in Louisiana.
She is survived by one son, Cleveland Dyson of Las Vegas; two brothers, Andrew Lee Parker of Los Angeles and John Lee Parker of Las Vegas; many nieces and nephews; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 5 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave.
Marie Jones
Marie Jones, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Madison, S.D. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Everett A. Jones of Las Vegas and Lynn Ray Jones of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Doris Fastrup of Westminster, Calif., and Faye Mole of Santa Barbara, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in South Dakota. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Donald E. Kaliebe
Donald E. Kaliebe, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 9, 1926, in Watertown, Wis. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a retired Metro Police detective, retired assistant to the vice president of corporate security at Caesars World, retired Army major and World War II and Korean War veteran, past commander of Police Post 55 and past District 2 commander of the American Legion, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1753 and the National Intelligence Center Intelligence Association.
He is survived by one brother, Howard Kaliebe of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and one sister, Gloria Wescott of Cleveland.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Simn Joseph Labbe
Simn Joseph Labbe, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1920, in San Martinville, La. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired real estate investor.
He is survived by his wife, Nola; two sons, Kernney Labbe of Long Beach, Calif., and Franklin Labbe of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jeanette Labbe-Catania and Joanne Labbe-Eder, both of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Memory Gardens.

Constance C. Laramie, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Los Angeles. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, James A.; three daughters, Barbara Sist of Commerce Township, Mich., Judy Koschade of Warren, Mich., and Suzanne Stock of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; four sons, Daniel Brandt and Keith Laramie, both of St. Clair Shores, Mich., David Laramie of Garden City, Mich., and James P. Laramie of Los Angeles; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Francis P. Lyons
Francis P. Lyons, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 27, 1936, in Titusville, Pa. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired government aircraft mechanic, a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, William L. Lyons, and four daughters, Nancy Lyons, Sherry Lyons, Michelle Lyons and Kimberly Lyons, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Legertha McNair, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1932, in Waynesboro, Miss. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired Clark County School District bus driver and a member of Willing Workers.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander; five sons, Freddie McRoy, Clovis Moore, Bobby McRoy and Dexter McNair, both of Las Vegas, and Matthew Spann of Jackson, Miss.; three daughters, Cathy Wilson, Willie Earl Scott and Patricia McDowell, all of Las Vegas; five sisters, Mary Louise Burton of Las Vegas, Dorothy Richey of Decatur, Ga., Bernadine Williams and Juanita Nichols, both of Farock, N.Y., and Patricia Clinton of Royal Irvington, Ala.; five brothers, James Richey, Homer Richey, Oscar Richey and Joseph Richey, all of Pittsburgh, and Jerrell Williams of Alexandria, Va.; 41 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave.

Anna M. Miner, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 16, 1915, in St. Louis. A resident for 44 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph F.; two daughters, Mary Ann Lewis of Las Vegas and Carolyn Ebarb of Pahrump; three sons, Gary R. Miner, Richard J. Miner and Robert F. Miner, all of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Peter P. Myslinski
Peter P. Myslinski, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Steubenville, Ohio. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a retired buyer in the aeronautics industry and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Michele Bisewski of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Teresa Weaver of Las Vegas and Kelly Motlong of Littleton, Colo.; three sons, Thomas Myslinski and Paul Myslinski, both of Chandler, Ariz., and Scott Myslinski of Chicago; one sister; four brothers; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. services today in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Concepcion 'Conching' Peralta, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 2, 1912, in the Philippines. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Faye Starr of Las Vegas, Esther Tan of Anaheim, Calif., and Sally Antoni and Chinette Tutaan, both of Australia; two sons, Ted Peralta of Las Vegas and Jun Peralta of Australia; one brother, Domingo Ros of the Philippines; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Brigitte R. Pierce, 51, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 17, 1947, in Honolulu. A resident for 14 years, she was a heavy equipment operator for a retail chain.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W.; two daughters, Darby L. Pierce and Bobbi Jo Pierce, both of Las Vegas; one son, Darin R. Pierce of North Las Vegas; one sister, Dolores Cabanit of Honolulu; and one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Genoveva; six daughters, Eva Cazares, Lilly Camarena and Josefina Herrera, all of Las Vegas, and Guadalupe Herrera, Carmen Saucedo and Rosario Favela, all of Chicago; three sons, Joaquin Saucedo of Las Vegas and Miguel Saucedo and Leobardo Saucedo, both of Chicago; one sister, Maria Gallarzo of Chicago; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Walter Thomas; two daughters, Joyce Newkirk and Sharon Manno; one brother, Anthony Thomas; one sister, Elizabeth; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Garrett Von Gunten of Sunland, Calif.; and one sister, Jill Hill of Las Vegas.

A resident for 54 years, she was a retired Clark County teacher/counselor for more than 47 years, vice president of the American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 308, past secretary of the Nevada Retired Teachers Association and member of the Alumni Association of University of Nevada, Reno, American Association of Retired Persons State Legislative Committee and Clark County Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Kitty Umbraco of Richmond, Calif.; and one son, David Warner of Pahrump.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Josephine Weinberger, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for nine years, she was a retired data processing supervisor at a lawyer's office.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; three daughters, Marla Strobel of Las Vegas, Laura Weinberger of Staten Island, N.Y., and Eve Palermo of Marysville, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Cantera of Sedona, Calif., Toby Altimno of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ruth Valinci of Cherry Hill, N.J.; one brother, Michael Soltz of California; and three grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
