Letter: Veterans agency at best inefficient
Friday, Jan. 15, 1999 | 10:18 a.m.
This writer, a Korean War veteran similar to thousands of vets, is familiar with the stonewalling and the outright lies of the VA.
How many veterans have heard "your records are lost," or "your records were burned in a fire at the military personnel facility?" This is a ploy on the VA's part to deny treatment for even service-connected ills, in an effort to cut cost.
If this is not the case, then the VA is the most incompetent agency of the government.
Is there any wonder why so many say, "Hell no, we won't go."
