Letter: Nevada legislators need to hear our anti-dump stance

We must also tell the White House and Congress, along with the DOE, that they must not be puppet masters to the nuclear power industry, which is trying to force Nevadans to accept what the rest of the country doesn't want.
Radioactive waste is the most deadly known substance to man and it has been proven that it can travel, reaching our ground water attached to tiny particles known as colloids from the nuclear weapons testing at the Nevada Test Site.
One must also realize that the Department of Energy wishes to store nuclear waste where there are 34 earthquake faults; Las Vegans can still remember in recent years being shaken by earthquakes.
I strongly urge all Nevadans to stand up and protest deeply the idea of storing any type of nuclear waste in our great state so our children, their children and their children will not become victims to politics as usual.
