Jean Ann Thompson Albott, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Los Angeles. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired meat wrapper.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald R.; one daughter, Vicki Stoeklen, and two sons, Robert P. Macias and Santiago Jimmy Lopez, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Jerry Fredrickson of Westminster, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Hartley R. 'Jake' Ashe
Hartley R. 'Jake' Ashe, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Maine. A resident for 34 years, he was a letter carrier, a retired Air Force veteran and a member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Rhea; two sons, Kelly Robert Ashe and Rickey Blakely; one daughter, Wendy Ashe; two brothers, Milton and Wayne; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9:15 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
David R. Brandsness
David R. Brandsness, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1936, in Stanley, Wis. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired former chief executive officer at Sunrise Hospital and University Medical Center and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Lisa Lucchese and Tedi Ann Templeton, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Erik Brandsness and Dr. Scott Greene, both of Reno; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Patricia Ann Currier
Patricia Ann Currier, 45, of Las Vegas died Jan. 6 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 6, 1953, in California. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her mother, Pearl Currier of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Linda Travis of Stagecoach and Joan DeVore of Las Vegas.

Roberto Dorta, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 4, 1910, in Havana. A resident for three years, he was a textile technician for a fabric manufacturer for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalina; one son, Robert Dorta of Las Vegas; two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Friday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Sheldon F. Friedman
Sheldon F. Friedman, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 25, 1917, in Ohio. A resident for seven years, he was an electronics technician for RCA, a Navy veteran and a member of Knights of Pythias.
He is survived by his wife, Tillie.
Graveside services will be 10:45 Jan. 21 in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Larry Johnson
Larry Johnson, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 30, 1937, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 40 years, he was in the real estate business, was a Las Vegas city firefighter, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Greater Las Vegas Board of Realtors.
He is survived by his wife, Brandi; two daughters, Tami Nunez and Apryle Wichinsky, and one son, Rick Sargent, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Mary Moomau of Staunton, Va.; one sister, Sandy Price of Phoenix; one brother, Jerry Johnson of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Doris K. Kay
Doris K. Kay, 84, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 22, 1914, in San Francisco. A resident for more than 11 years, she was a retired banking officer at California Savings and Loan.
She is survived by her husband, Leon; two daughters, Rene Boyer and Louise Beasley, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Alex Charles of Florida; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Lloyd C. Kim
Lloyd C. Kim, 59, of Las Vegas died Jan. 7 in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 8, 1939, in Hawaii. A resident for 25 years, he was a martial arts instructor for Shorin Ji Ryu International-Nevada Division and an Army veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Sky Kim and Sterling Kim, both of Las Vegas, and Scott Kim of Honolulu; one daughter, Michelle Kim of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 832 N. Eastern Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Anna M. Korte, 99, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born May 14, 1899, in Naples, Italy. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired seamstress.

Virginia B. Larry
Virginia B. Larry, 87, of North Las Vegas died Jan. 6 in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1911, in Bovina, Miss. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Bennie Jackson, Mary Randolph, Bobbie Owens and Dorothy Larry, and one son, George Larry, all of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph LaVigna
Joseph LaVigna, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Philadelphia. A resident for eight years, he was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; one son, Joseph R. LaVigna of Las Vegas; and one sister, Constance Franchetti of Philadelphia.
Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Thelma Lou McCune
Thelma Lou McCune, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Washington state. A resident for four years, she was a waitress and a former Senior Companion for the Friendship Circle of the Salvation Army.
She is survived by her companion, Stanley Milkowski of Henderson; one son, Lucky Meadows of Roselle Park, N.Y.; three daughters, Diane Lautz of Henderson, Lendsay Carlson of Nashville, Tenn., and Terria Meadows of South Plainfield, N.J.; one brother, Don McCune of Klamath Falls, Ore.; four sisters, Lois Price of Spokane, Wash., Mable Massey of Lincoln City, Ore., Leah Legg of Old Town, Iowa, and Claudia Bednar of Klamath Falls; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mae Morrison, 94, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1904, in Pennsylvania. A resident for two years, she was a retired retail cashier.
She is survived by one son, William Morrison, and one daughter, Marlene Widnes, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Inez Andrews of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one grandchild, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

John J. Mulvihill
John J. Mulvihill, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Palisade, Colo. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired music teacher, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Miller and Mary Keever, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Lotus A. Peterson
Lotus A. Peterson, 95, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 4, 1903, in Anaconda, Mont. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Order of the Eastern Star Southgate Chapter 18.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James and Thomas Malloy.
She is survived by one daughter, Harriet Borg of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

William Robert 'Bob' Ragland, 30, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1968, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a heavy equipment operator for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Jo; two sons, Ryan Ragland and Dustin Ragland, one stepdaughter, Elisha Ragland, and his father and stepmother, William W. and Elaine Ragland, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Judi Jacques of San Marcos, Calif.

Daisy Margarita Robaina, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 13, 1942, in Cuba. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jose; two daughters, Maria Ryder-Curry and Danet M. Robaina, and one son, Cesar M. Robaina, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Dulce Barrio-Nuevo, and one sister, Maria T. Acosta, both of Miami; and three grandchildren.

Wilma "Tina" Marie Rogers, 49, of Las Vegas and Reno died Saturday in Las Vegas. A sales representative, she was born Nov. 2, 1949, in Tallulah, La.
She is survived by her husband, Luca Cappiello; four sons, Darryll Rogers, Tony L. Rogers, Andre L. Rogers and Tommy R. Walker; many other relatives and friends; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Charles H. Schuerman, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 9, 1931, in Milwaukee. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired police officer.
He is survived by his wife, Doris M.; four sons, Charles L. Schuerman of Minnatonka, Minn., and Howard H. Schuerman, Michael D. Schuerman and Jeffrey H. Schuerman, all of Las Vegas; two daughters, Debra A. Grabner and Susan L. Stephens, both of West Allis, Wis.; one brother, Herbert Schuerman of Milwaukee; one sister, Violet Kaun of Franklin, Wis.; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

William Sontac, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a World War II Army veteran, a former prisoner of war and Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche; two sons, Howard Sontag of Henderson and Craig Sontag of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Lisa Robertson of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
John Stoker
John Stoker, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born June 19, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for five years, he was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran.
He is survived by five sons, April Deitsch of Strausburg, Ohio, John Stoker Jr. and Mike Stoker Sr., both of Canton, Ohio, and Glenn Stoker and Jim Stoker, both of Hopkinsville, Ky.; two daughters, Deborah Arbuckle of Canton and Anita Johnson of Asheboro, N.C.; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Virginia E. Straight
Virginia E. Straight, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Colorado. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired cashier at Binion's Horseshoe.
She is survived by three daughters, Kay Jones of Las Vegas, Gwen Eichol of Dover, Ohio, and Judy Dunn of Greeley, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Mountain View Assembly of God, 3901 E. Bonanza Road. Burial will be private.
Arby 'A.J.' Vincent Jr.
Arby 'A.J.' Vincent Jr., 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in New Orleans. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired firefighter and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Becki; his ex-wife, Adeline Vincent of Metairie, La.; two daughters, Vicki Davis of River Ridge, La., and Christian Vincent of Las Vegas; four sons, Robert Vincent of Metairie and Ricki Vincent, Dennis Vincent and Christopher Vincent, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Linda Lear of Pearlington, Miss., and Cathy Chalton of Gulfport, Miss.; four brothers, William Vincent of Las Vegas, Ronald Vincent of Slidell, La., John Vincent of Bush, La., and Joseph Vincent of Pearlington; and 10 grandchildren.

George W. Vreeland Jr., 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Steubenville, Ohio. A resident for nine years, he was a retired metallurgical engineer for a steel company and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Maritta Lord of Wilson, Wyo., and Harriet Hutton of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Flossie M. Wolterding
Flossie M. Wolterding, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 11, 1919, in South Carolina. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of Trinity Life Center Bible College.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara E. Dawson of Las Vegas and Florence M. Dixon of Los Angeles; four sons, Eric J. Wolterding of Fullerton, Calif., and Ronald Wolterding, Dennis Wolterding and Gerald Wolterding, all of Lowell, Mass.; two brothers, Leon Gantt and Freddie Williams, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 33 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave.
