Tennie C. Burns-Green, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 23, 1913, in Banks, Ark. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Pearlene Trotter, Roxie Coleman, Minnie Sparks and Marilyn Weiston, and three sons, Garland "Nick" Burns, Milton Burns and Tommy Burns, all of Las Vegas; one brother, John T. Childs of Hot Springs, Ark.; two aunts, Velma Tatum and Luna Marshall, both of Banks, Ark.; many other relatives and friends; 36 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will be in Arkansas.

John A. Burton

John A. Burton, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 28, 1930, in Baileyville, Maine. A resident for five years, he was a certified public accountant, an Air Force veteran and a member of the United States Chess Federation.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Rachel Terrill; and three sons, John M. Burton of Branford, Conn., David H. Burton of Sterling, Mass., and Fred T. Burton of Manchester, N.H.

Charles Louis Criner

Charles Louis Criner, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Oklahoma. A resident for 36 years, he was a window glazier.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Charles William of Beatty and Jackie of Las Vegas; his mother, Mildred Latch, and one brother, Bill Criner, both of Oklahoma; two daughters, Lisa Criner-Eide of LeMars, Iowa, and Michelle Kornbluh of Las Vegas; and 12 grandchildren.

Therese M. Donnelly

Therese M. Donnelly, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 5, 1927, in Los Angeles. A resident for four years, she was a hospital X-ray technician and a Korean War Navy veteran.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Donnelly of Tacoma, Wash., Dana Donnelly of Atlanta and Robert Donnelly of Las Vegas; one brother, Alan MacDuff of Baldwin Park, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Fuqua of Tempe, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Mike Dyorich

Mike Dyorich, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 16, 1920, in Confluence, Pa. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired construction supervisor, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Landsdale Club and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his companion, Marge Connell of Las Vegas; two daughters, Nancy L. Florez and Mikall Lovitt, and one sister, David Michael Dyorich, all of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Helen McNalty of Export, Pa., and Thelma Lappado; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

William E. Graham

William E. Graham, 63, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Pampa, Texas. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired Chevron gas station owner-operator and a member of the Elks in Grants, N.M.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Sharon Lewis of Nucla, Colo., and Carol Rea of Grants; one son, Louis Paul Rea of Las Vegas; two sisters; one brother; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Jerry Heimburger Sr.

Jerry Heimburger Sr., 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 13, 1925, in New York City. A resident for three years, he was a retired landscaper/contractor and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Richard Heimburger of Las Vegas and Jerry Heimburger Jr. of Patchogue, N.Y.; two daughters, Martha Reiter of Las Vegas and Audrey Verble of Seymour, Ind.; two brothers, Peter Heimburger of Germany and Bob Heimburger of Forked River, N.J.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main.

John R. Huff

John R. Huff, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born March 18, 1923, in Indianapolis. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired insurance company claims agent and a World War II Marine Corps veteran who served in the South Pacific including Guam and Iwo Jima.

He is survived by his wife, Denyse L.; one son, W. Steven Huff of Bryans Road, Md.; one daughter, Susan L. Byfield of Holland, Mich.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Henrietta LaFountain

Henrietta LaFountain, 68, of Las Vegas died Jan. 7 in Las Vegas. She was born June 14, 1930, in Wendell, Mass. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired hotel maid.

She is survived by her life partner, Robert Ruppert of Las Vegas; three daughters, Delphine Woodard of Kilgore, Texas, Zena Z. Root of Las Vegas and Deborah Chapalonis of Athol, Mass.; one son, Floyd Chapalonis of Athol; six sisters, Carol Standfield, Shirley Kingsberry, Beatrice Harris, Joan Gates and Kathleen Grout, all of Orange, Mass., and Phyllis Munez of Athol; two brothers, Frank Webster and Elmer Webster, both or Orange; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ida C. Lopez

Ida C. Lopez, 72, of Las Vegas died Jan. 2 in Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1926, in Silver City, N.M. A resident for 44 years, she was a hospital nurse.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Seferino Lopez of Pahrump and Jerry Dean Lopez of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lori M. Hurst of Pahrump; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

John Vincent Mayer, 57, of North Las Vegas died Dec. 16 in North Las Vegas. He was born April 9, 1941, in Missouri. A resident for 10 years, he was an auto salesman.

He is survived by one daughter, Laurie Ann Magee, and one brother, Ed Mayer, both of Colorado.

Patrick William Maxwell

Patrick William Maxwell, 50, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1948, in Texas. A resident for 20 years, he was a disabled veteran who served in the Navy.

He is survived by one son, Martyn Braun of Las Vegas; three daughters, Leslie Becker and Alynn Amundson, both of Las Vegas, and Randi Johnson of Reading, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren.

John William Murphy

John William Murphy, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1918, in a local hospital. A resident for 31 years, he was a floorman/pit boss in the gaming industry, an Army veteran, a member of the Screen Directors Guild, Screen Actors Guild, United States Golfers Association and a former member of the Italian-American Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Megan; three brothers, David, Daniel and Richard; and five sisters, Delores, Margaret, Anna, Dorothy and Elizabeth.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. services Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Raymond E. Payton

Raymond E. Payton, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born March 21, 1922, in Muskogee, Okla. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired government iron worker, a veteran of the Merchant Marines and a member of Ironworkers Union Local 416.

He is survived by his wife, Margie; two daughters, Jerri McAllister and Robin Baker, both of Las Vegas; one son, Rufus McAllister Jr. of Irving, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Doris J. Peterson, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Illinois. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

Clarence Vernon Reece, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1934, in Oklahoma. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired veteran.

He is survived by one son, Charles Reece of Henderson; one daughter, Theresa Clark of Gulfport, Miss.; two sisters, Bonnie Hughs and Frances Griggs; and one grandchild.

Robert Roggen, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 29, 1917, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired shirt manufacturer.

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Roggen of Las Vegas; and one son, Mark N. Roggen of New York City.

Lawrence Ross, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 19, 1933, in Detroit. A resident for one year, he was a retired electrician at a steel mill and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Kim Ross and Julie Bennett, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Lawrence Ross of West Branch, Mich., and Mike Ross and Keith Ross, both of Mio, Mich.; two brothers, Harold Ross of Detroit and David Ross of Florida; three sisters, Pat Spradlin of Austin, Texas, Judy Pietrusza of Westland, Mich., and Trudy Grabowski of Garden City, Mich.; and 14 grandchildren.

Charles Bruce Sinclair, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born June 24, 1923, in Lyndhurst, N.J. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired Air Force chief master sergeant, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran for 31 years, a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria B.; one daughter, Cheryl Pypiak of Radcliff, Ky.; one son, Jeffery Bruce Sinclair of Falls Church, Va.; and one grandchild.

She is survived by five daughters, Nora Boardman of Havre, Mont., Marcella Mantooth of Holdenville, Okla., Doris Cordova of Henderson, Rebecca Anstett of Las Vegas and Priscilla Sarkozy of Las Cruces, N.M.; two sons, Fred M. Tews of Gillette, Wyo., and Scott Tews of Redmond, Wash.; two brothers, Gordon Hurtt of Spokane, Wash., and Richard Hurtt of Belfry, Mont.; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by five daughters, Nettie Holloway of Pasadena, Calif., Nora Hines of North Las Vegas, Martha Sledge of Memphis, Tenn., Annie Sting of Seattle and Janet Washington of Ypsilanti, Mich.; three sons, Kenny Thomas of North Las Vegas, Franklin Thomas of Seattle and Hershey Thomas of Salt Lake City; one brother, Hazel Burns of Las Vegas; one sister, Janet Watson of Hermitage; 39 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Frosa B. Tomcheff, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born May 24, 1907, in Resen, Yugoslavia. A resident for three years, she was a retired restaurant baker.

She is survived by one son, Daniel Tomcheff of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren including granddaughter, Erin Kenny of Las Vegas; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 3:30-4 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by graveside services in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Burial will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Maurice O. Turner, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born July 21, 1916, in Colorado Springs, Colo. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired government heavy equipment mechanic and World War II and Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Maurine Lien of Las Vegas; two sons, Michael T. Turner of Las Vegas and Martin Turner of Jean; one sister, Helen Norris of Texas; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Francis Clayton Underwood

Francis Clayton Underwood, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 19, 1931, in West Virginia. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired postal clerk and a retired Air Force master sergeant.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Underwood of Las Vegas and Keith Underwood of Henderson; two daughters, Denise Spina of Las Vegas and Alison Keena of Henderson; four sisters, Pat Harver, Maraella Lee Cohen and Norma Harper, both of West Virginia, and Phyllis Seabolt of Ohio; two brothers, Stephen Underwood and Robert Underwood, both of West Virginia; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Jose Vieytes, 45, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Havana. A resident for three years, he was a taxicab driver.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Wendy Wilson Borjas of North Carolina and Courtney Sanford of Las Vegas; one sister, Edith Lopez of Florida; and three grandchildren.

Billy N. Walker, 75, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Erie, Kan. A resident for nine years, he was a retired brick tender and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth P.; one daughter, Karen Sue Walker of Las Vegas; two sons, William Marion Walker of Henderson and Jeffrey Kurt Walker of Reseda, Calif.; one sister, Pat Bliss of Wichita, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
